Hade Edge AFC Juniors:
During the summer of 2003,
two of the senior players, Ryan Clayton and Martin Semple, ran a summer football
school and from that the club began Junior training sessions on Saturday mornings
at the club field during the season. Another summer school ran in 2004 and the
training continued during 2004/2005 and 2005/2006.
The club entered an Under 10’s team into the Huddersfield and District
Junior League in the season 06/07 and in the season 07/08 two teams, an Under
10’s and an Under 11’s.
The coach for the U 10’s is Darren Cocker and for the U 11’s, Keith
Hollingworth. The U 10’s train on Friday evenings and the U 11’s
on Wednesday evenings at the club ground.
Good progress has been made over the last two years and the hope is that the
club can field four teams in the 08/09 season; an U 10’s, U 11’s
and U 12’s and an Under sixes training team.
New players will be needed for these teams and new Coaches as well.
At present all adults in charge of the Juniors have CRB clearance and as a club,
we attained Charter Standard.
